About Solo Sojourn
Empowering solo female travelers to explore with confidence.
Our Story
Solo Sojourn began as a spark of curiosity and courage — one woman’s decision to take the road less traveled and rediscover herself beneath the wide Florida sky. Founded by author and digital storyteller Jolene MacFadden, Solo Sojourn grew from a personal RV adventure blog into a vibrant movement dedicated to helping women of all ages find freedom, community, and confidence through solo camping, vanlifing, RV living, and outdoor exploration.
What is starting with a single SUV and a Florida state park map will blossom into a digital home for modern wanderers — women who crave meaningful connection with nature, purpose, and each other. Our mission is simple: to make outdoor adventures accessible, safe, and soul-filling for every woman ready to step into her next chapter.
The Solo Sojourn App is your pocket guide to that journey. Inside, you’ll find curated lists of campgrounds and volunteer workamping opportunities across Florida, along with honest reviews, travel tips, and real stories from other women walking the same path. It’s part guidebook, part journal, and all heart — a place where courage meets community.
So whether you’re planning your first overnight in a car, dreaming of life in a camper van, or simply craving a weekend escape under the stars — welcome home.
This is where your solo story begins… and where we travel together, one sojourn at a time.
